Journal of Christian Coaching Released (Mar 12)
In early April, CACC will be shipping thousands of copies of the Journal of Christian Coaching to coaches and leaders across the country. The Journal represents an unprecedented opportunity to connect with the best thoughts and research from a wide array of writers and coaching practitioners, all in one place. Previously, one would have to spend hours scouring the internet and significant dollars purchasing books to get a sampling of what's currently being discussed among Christian coaches and leaders. Now, with each quarterly copy of the Journal, readers have the chance to sit with leaders in the field, and be inspired, equipped and included in the dialogue that will shape Christian coaching for years to come.
The first issue of the Journal revolves around the theme of community in what can be an isolated profession, and includes an incredible line-up of articles from well-respected coaching leaders. Tony Stoltzfus, Judy Santos, Chris McCluskey, Linda Miller, and Bob Logan are just a few of the top leaders and authors that have written for the Spring 2008 inaugural issue.
CACC's purpose in publishing the Journal of Christian Coaching is to advance the Christian coaching movement by building community, facilitating dialogue, and sharing resources among Christian leaders. Partnership Established with Valley Forge Christian College School of Graduate Studies (Mar 12)
Beginning with the Fall semester of 2008, Valley Forge Christian College School of Graduate Studies will be offering CACC's Essential Coach Training as a 3-credit graduate course in their M.A. in Christian Leadership program. These 3 credits can be applied to VFCC's fully accredited degree program, or may be transferred to another graduate school.
With this partnership, VFCC joins the ranks of only a small handful of Christian graduate schools that are offering coach training for credit. The future influence of the Christian coaching movement will be largely dependent upon coaching becoming established in academia, and the VFCC/CACC partnership is another significant step in that direction.
The Valley Forge ECT will be taught by Roger Erdvig, CACC president, and is identical in format to CACC's traditional ECT, including both modular on-campus and distance-based instruction. Roger is also an adjunct faculty member at the undergraduate level, and will be teaching a modular undergraduate course for emerging leaders who desire to use the coaching approach to leadership, called "Coaching For Leadership."
Students who wish to enroll in the ECT for credit will register directly with the college. Check the VFCC and CACC websites for registration information beginning in mid-July of 2008. The first ECT cohort at Valley Forge will begin with an in-person workshop on Wednesday, August 26th and Thursday, August 27th.
Valley Forge Christian College is a regionally accredited Christian college of Arts, Sciences, and Professions on a beautiful 106-acre Chester County campus, with 24 majors and a roster of dedicated professors committed to the VFCC mission: to prepare individuals for a life of service and leadership in the church and the world.

Roger Erdvig, CACC President, to speak at New York State Loving Education at Home (LEAH) Annual Homeschool Convention (May 15)
On June 2 and 3, Roger will be presenting two workshops for the homeschooling community in New York State: "Introduction to Leadership Coaching," and "Coaching for Character Development." As a homeschooling father of 5, Roger is well acquainted with the challenges of raising children who possess well-formed character.
